Waste sorting

Veolia employs effective and precise automatic sorting equipment to classify the recyclable waste, plastic, wood, metal and glass so that they can be recycled and reused.

The automatic sorting equipment simplifies the waste classification into recyclable type and non-recyclable type (excluding the toxic and hazardous waste), which greatly facilitates the residents’ daily waste sorting activity and the government's facilities for categorized waste collection.

The automatic sorting pipeline of Veolia integrates optical, ballistic, air flow and other cutting-edge sorting technology and equipment as a whole to precisely identify and classify the waste. This circulative and continuous identification and sorting process effectively categorizes the recyclable waste into metal, wood, paper, paperboards and plastic, and recycles the refuse derived fuel. At the end of the pipeline, workers would remotely carry out the final waste sorting by removing the wrongly sorted waste with a touch screen.
