At oil and gas production site and refinery plant, Veolia treats and reuses water. Upstream, by reinjecting the wastewater produced in the extraction of oil and gas into the reservoir, we increase oil and gas recovery. Downstream, the water and steam used in the conversion of crude oil to petroleum products result in wastewater. It is then separated and treated onsite, and recycled to achieve "zero liquid discharge".​ This circular management of resources is not only in line with the environmental standards but also increases the performance of the oil and gas facilities.
