From September 15 to 19, the 11th Veolia International Health & Safety Week was held as scheduled under the theme "Stop, Think Act, you have the power." The event aimed to encourage and empower every Veolia employee with the right and responsibility to halt unsafe work practices, enhance health and safety awareness, and promote the adoption of safer behaviors.
The health and safety of Veolia's 220,000 employees is an unwavering primary responsibility. Ensuring every employee returns home safely is the utmost priority, surpassing all other operational considerations. Within this proactive and transparent safety culture, Veolia has issued a "Safety Stop Card" to every employee, advocating that—regardless of position—each individual has both the right and the obligation to immediately halt operations upon identifying a hazard.

Simultaneously, Veolia Group's Health, Safety, and Prevention Division is establishing a comprehensive support system. This includes training managers at all levels and personnel involved in the health and safety framework, equipping them to become effective advocates for implementing preventive measures.
During the Health & Safety Week, Veolia organized "Safety Stop Card Workshops" at its offices in Beijing and Shanghai, as well as at project sites across various regions. Each session facilitated lively and in-depth discussions around key questions such as: "Should work be halted when risks are identified?", "How do risks emerge?", and "What aspects should be improved following a safety stop?" Resourcers freely shared their insights, creating a dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere for exchange.
In China, resourcers have also taken proactive steps to integrate safety knowledge into daily production activities and practical experience. Through organizing emergency safety drills and first aid training tailored to various scenarios, Veolia is empowering every employee to internalize safety and health awareness, ensuring it is reflected both in mindset and daily actions.

Amid the passage of time, Veolia’s commitment to health and safety remains unwavering — because every moment of safety is vital to the well-being of every family and fundamental to the company’s steady progression into the future.
