The Sanwayao Cogeneration Project provides stable steam supply to industrial and chemical plants within the Chengdu Dayi Industrial Park. Through combined heat and power (CHP) technology, waste heat from steam production is recovered and converted into electricity. Annually, it supplies safe, environmentally friendly, and reliable industrial steam to over 30 enterprises in the park while delivering electricity to the national grid. As a coal-fired power plant, Sanwayao is actively transitioning to cleaner energy by planning the installation of natural gas boilers to support local economic transformation and green development goals.
The project is equipped with 2 × 150 t/h steam boilers, 1 × 30 t/h natural gas boiler, 3 steam turbine generators. The total installed capacity is 53.95 MW.
