### Our Services in Municipal Energy Market Veolia is entrusted by key Chinese municipalities to provide sustainable energy services that help meet growing energy demands. **District heating and cooling** Veolia’s district heating and cooling systems provide an energy-efficient and cost effective way to warm and cool buildings. District boilers are heated up using renewable energy sources like biomass, generating steam which then travels through an underground pipe system to heat up multiple buildings in the district. These systems replace individual boilers, preserve energy resource and provide a more environmentally friendly heating and cooling solution for municipalities. **Cogeneration** Veolia helps Chinese municipalities reduce carbon footprint and cost of power generation through its design and operation of combined heat and power (CHP) or cogeneration plants. CHP plants offer greater energy and environmental efficiency by producing thermal and electrical energy from a single energy source. In Jiamusi, China, Veolia expertly deploys state-of-the-art Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems – an essential tool for monitoring and securing performance across an entire energy network. ### Our Solutions in the Municipal Energy Market [ ](/en/chongqing-changshou-chemical-industry-park-chp "Chongqing Chemical Industry Park") [Chongqing Chemical Industry Park](/en/chongqing-changshou-chemical-industry-park-chp "Chongqing Chemical Industry Park") [Discover More](/en/chongqing-changshou-chemical-industry-park-chp) [ ](/en/harbin-southwest-district-heating "Harbin Southeast District Heating") [Harbin Southeast District Heating](/en/harbin-southwest-district-heating "Harbin Southeast District Heating") [Discover More](/en/harbin-southwest-district-heating)
